Mother of Azerbaijan
Mother of Azerbaijan (2009) is a sculpture, which is produced during Reciprocal Visit, with Apartment Project. While visiting countries that are become independent after collapse of CCCP, you can realise the mother sculptures as a protector of the freedom an independence of the country. The only country that has a father figure instead of a mother figure is Azerbaijan. Mother of Azerbaijan is a sculpture, which was designed for Azerbaijan to protect their freedom and independency. That is way, Mother Azerbaijan holds a sword, which symbolizes peace and strength to strike fear in the hearts of her enemies. The female figure, dressed in Azerbaijani national clothing but the form share the same aesthetics and pose with other mother sculptures.
